There is no real detailed explanation for the site's name, picking Panicked as the name of this site was an impulsive decision made during a frustrated and anxious episode. Ties to pop culture have been made by visitors but they hold absolutely no weight. |
| Site History |
Before being hosted on NuclearCentury, Panicked was hosted on Ohlush.org and Abdicated (cannot remember if it was .com, .net, or .org). After completely killing Abdicated at the very end of 2005 with bandwidth usage, I was forced to essentially put Panicked on hold for a short time. In early 2006, Moe offered to host me on NuclearCentury and I began working with him on the new Panicked. From there, Panicked grew and transformed and continued to exist. In mid-2007, the site got another new look based on the classic Panicked layout and some major changes were made to content along with a complete update. Site work, on my part, then dwindled to a near halt when personal life and obnoxious idiocy online had me cornered. This lull lasted until Nov.-Dec. 2007, and then I got to work on some updates. Within these updates was an entirely new theme and layout organization system created to, hopefully, attract more viewers and make viewing easier for the faithful visitor. But then, shortly after the complete redesign, the NC servers were hacked and almost all of the new work was lost. This caused me to give up entirely for a few months, until November 2008 when I began work on the current design. |

I'm full of contradictions and imbalances — I sneeze and sweat hypocrisy. But I do it with such pride and disregard for the entire concept of balance. Being my friend is something you may do, but I cannot always promise that I'll reciprocate or care. I like sarcasm and sardonicism and irony and facetiousness and I have delusions of intellectual grandeur. Yet I have a strong tendency to be quite thick — of course I assume most people find this to be endearing. I assume a lot of things, mostly in secret, but do not underestimate me, there are a lot of assumptions with my signature on them. I actively hate a lot of things. And people. And ideas. And everything. That is why I am often found being hypocritical. But all of this is just speculation on my part as I have no idea who or what or how I am. I'm still a bit stuck in the middle of figuring it all out.
